Friday Evening: Arrive & Grab a Bite

Inside Blue Stallion Taproom

Arrive in Richmond, settle into your hotel, and reconnect with your group before heading out for the evening. For a full list of our hotel accommodations, click here: Richmond’s Lodging.

Kick off the weekend with dinner in our downtown Mill District. Head to Holler Burger & Blue Stallion Taproom for Kentucky-crafted beer, great food, and plenty of time to catch up either inside or on their outdoor patio. Their outdoor space, known as ‘The Quarter’, has a firepit, plenty of seating, televisions, and even cornhole boards for you all to have the relaxing evening you earned after a day of travel.

If you aren’t ready to call it a night, walk around our Mill District and visit Paddy Wagon Irish Pub or Bluegrass Barrel House to end your night before going back to your hotel.

Saturday: Golf, Craft Beer, and Kentucky Views

Start the day with a round of golf at Gibson Bay Golf Course. This 7,100 yard, par 72 course is located along Richmond’s 450-acre Lake Reba Recreational Complex. With up to five tee boxes on each hold, Gibson Bay can accommodate players of all skill levels. All tees, greens, and fairways are seeded with bent grass to provide the best possible playing conditions. Whether chasing your personal best or simply enjoying a morning on the greens with friends, Richmond offers scenic courses enjoyable for players of all skillsets.

After your round of golf, stop into the Gibson Bay Cafe for refreshments before heading to the lake for an afternoon of fishing. Explore Camp Catalpa for a shaded walk outdoors before heading to Battlefield Park for the opportunity to immerse yourself into Kentucky’s Civil War history as you learn about the Battle of Richmond. Pleasant View is the home open from 10am-2pm Monday-Friday. Explore the walking trail at the park if you want to get additional steps in. There is interpretive signage to help you navigate the history of the Battle of Richmond.

After an afternoon full of outdoor experiences, you can unwind at Dreaming Creek Brewery. Dreaming Creek is a craft brewery located in the heart of Daniel Boone’s frontier, also known as our Mill District. Check out their Facebook page to see their schedule of events and food vendor lineup.

Sunday: One More Adventure Before Heading Home
