Lori has worked in the travel and tourism industry for over 20 years. A native of Madison County, Lori earned a Bachelor of Arts from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) in Communications, with a Minor in Business.
Lori has received numerous certifications in the tourism and city administration field. She is a Certified Tourism Marketing Professional, a Kentucky Main Street Manager, and a State Tourism Ambassador. She is actively involved in both local and statewide leadership, currently serving on the Board of the Kentucky Tourism Industry Association and as Treasurer for the Bluegrass Tourism Region. Lori is also a Past President of the Kentucky Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus and previously served on the EKU Alumni Board.
At the local level, Lori serves on the Richmond Chamber of Commerce Board. She is also Co-Chair of the annual Pops at the Park event at White Hall State Historic Site. A graduate of Leadership Madison County, Lori holds the distinguished honor of being named a Kentucky Colonel.
Her leadership and dedication have been recognized with numerous awards, including the Richmond Chamber of Commerce Wallace G. Maffett Award, recognition as one of the Top 25 Leaders in Madison County, and most recently, the prestigious Mangeot-Oaken Award for Distinguished Service from the Kentucky Tourism Industry Association.
Lori has a special interest in event planning, historical research, and volunteering for a number of community organizations.
After recently graduating from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Communication and a minor in Public Relations, Staci has stepped into the role of social media manager. Although she is still early in her career, she has leveraged her academic background and applied strategic communication techniques to engage diverse audiences.
Managing Richmond Tourism’s social media channels has allowed her to develop content highlighting local attractions and events while fostering a connection between the community and potential visitors. She is excited to grow her knowledge and love for the tourism industry, meet new partners, and continue spreading the love she has with Richmond, Kentucky.
In her free time, Staci likes to spend time with her friends and family, cook new meals, and read both mystery and thriller books.
