Celebrate Fall at Richmond’s Millstone Festival

The Millstone Festival is Richmond’s annual fall celebration, bringing together neighbors and visitors alike for a full day of music, food, history, and fun. Held in the heart of downtown and the historic Mill District, the festival showcases the best of Madison County with activities for all ages, from kids’ games to live performances and artisan vendors.

A Day Full of Events

On Saturday, October 3, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Main Street will be alive with activity. Stroll through blocks of local vendors, explore handcrafted goods, enjoy food and spirits around the courthouse square, and take in live entertainment throughout the day. The festival is family-friendly, community-centered, and offers something for everyone.

Highlights of the Festival

Cruise-In – Car enthusiasts won’t want to miss the classic car cruise-in, where polished chrome and vintage style line the street. It’s a chance to admire 1frmobiles from every era and connect with fellow car lovers.

This is the sixth annual cruise-in to take place the weekend of the festival. Dash plaques are offered to the first 100 registered vehicles, and only the entries 1972 and older are eligible to attend the cruise-in.

There are door prizes, trophies, and cash prizes. The best part is… there is not an entry fee. Gates open at daylight, and the vehicles will leave around 4:30 in the afternoon.

Twin Contest – Always a crowd-pleaser, the Identical Twins Contest brings double the fun! Identical twins of all ages are invited to show off their similarities (and differences) in a spirited competition. For the first time, a triplets category will also become part of the fun. Know an identical twin, or triplets? Send them down to the cruise-in registration table by 12:50pm Saturday, October 3rd to have them enter the contest for a chance to win cash!

Schedule of Events – The day is filled with nonstop entertainment. From morning music acts to afternoon contests and evening performances, the festival keeps downtown buzzing from start to finish. See the full schedule below.

Sponsors – The Millstone Festival is made possible through the generous support of local businesses and organizations. Their sponsorship ensures this tradition continues to grow each year, keeping Richmond’s history and community spirit alive.

Celebrate in the Mill District

The festival takes its name from Millstone Park, where Madison County native Speedy Denny has collected and displayed historic millstones used in milling and processing. These millstones connect today’s celebration with Richmond’s deep history and heritage.

Join us on October 4 for a day of community, tradition, and fun in the heart of Richmond. Whether you’re here for the tractors, the music, the food, or the family activities, the Millstone Festival is a fall tradition you won’t want to miss!
