The Millstone Festival is Richmond’s annual fall celebration, bringing together neighbors and visitors alike for a full day of music, food, history, and fun. Held in the heart of downtown and the historic Mill District, the festival showcases the best of Madison County with activities for all ages, from kids’ games to live performances and artisan vendors.
A Day Full of Events
On Saturday, October 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Main Street will be alive with activity. Stroll through blocks of local vendors, explore handcrafted goods, enjoy food and spirits around the courthouse square, and take in live entertainment throughout the day. The festival is family-friendly, community-centered, and offers something for everyone.
Highlights of the Festival
Tractor Show – Celebrate Kentucky’s agricultural roots with a wide variety of tractors on display. From restored classics to modern workhorses, this showcase is a favorite for families, farmers, and anyone who loves machinery and heritage.

Cruise-In – Car enthusiasts won’t want to miss the classic car cruise-in, where polished chrome and vintage style line the street. It’s a chance to admire automobiles from every era and connect with fellow car lovers.
Twin Contest – Always a crowd-pleaser, the Twin Contest brings double the fun! Whether identical or fraternal, twins of all ages are invited to show off their similarities (and differences) in a spirited competition.
Schedule of Events – The day is filled with nonstop entertainment. From morning music acts to afternoon contests and evening performances, the festival keeps downtown buzzing from start to finish. See the full schedule below.

Celebrate in the Mill District
The festival takes its name from Millstone Park, where Madison County native Speedy Denny has collected and displayed historic millstones used in milling and processing. These millstones connect today’s celebration with Richmond’s deep history and heritage.
Join us on October 4 for a day of community, tradition, and fun in the heart of Richmond. Whether you’re here for the tractors, the music, the food, or the family activities, the Millstone Festival is a fall tradition you won’t want to miss!
