White Hall
Nestled in rolling farmland, the home near Richmond was built in the late 1700s, with a major addition constructed in the 1860s. The historic White Hall mansion, designed in Georgian and Italianate styles, boasts nearly 10,000 square feet with modern innovations of the time such as central heating and indoor plumbing. Dating back to 1798, this site was the historic home to Cassius Marcellus Clay. White Hall is managed by the City of Richmond.

Explore the mansion on your own! Signs around the mansion will tell the story of White Hall and the Clay family who called it home. See unique artifacts, antique furniture, and photographs.
A staff member will always be in the mansion to answer questions.

Hours of Operation
The historical residence is open for tours from April through October, Wednesday through Sunday.
Tickets must be purchased at the Gift Shop, located inside the mansion. The maximum number of guests per Guided Tour is 20. Guided Tours are first come, first served and begin at 3:30pm, so arrive early to purchase tickets. You may call or email ahead to reserve spots on a Guided Tour. If absent when the tour begins, spots may be given to other guests.
